A movie called John Wick. I started watching it because of Keanu Reeves. All I can say is I knew Keanu from The Matrix and searched his movies and watched every movie I got. So, picking John Wick was obvious, right?
The movie started in 2014 with the simple storyline of a retired hitman’s revenge after a group of gangsters killed his beloved dog. This dog was given to him by his recently deceased wife. After that the world they have created and introduced us to is unimaginable. Kudos to the writers.
John Wick – Chapter 4
Known for its fight sequences and killings, John Wick has always been a popular film. Chapter 4 has another fight sequence level. I found it different this time in terms of technique. The creative take on action sequences and the location they choose to show the fights. Just can’t express it in words, I swear. From start to finish, the fight sequence is different in terms of location, cinematography, techniques and action choreography. In a fight sequence, if I don’t mention background music and sound design, I am unfair to the movie and to the technicians. It is easier to understand the impact of the fight when the background and screen colours change as the fight becomes more bloody. I just want to appreciate the thought they put into the action sequences.
My apologies, but please choose a theatre and screen with sound systems that are suitable for sound design and BGM. You may not be able to connect with all these technicalities who watch CAMRIP on a laptop (no offence but to me it makes difference in experience and the entire view of the movie will be changed if you do not get the right environment). You may miss the perfect sound of Drizzle, Heavy Rain, Fountain water’s gurgle, babble or splash, the sound of vehicles screeching, rumbling, droning, rattling and different gun shuts, the punch, swoosh of swords and so many others which just add so much value to the screen experience.
The John Wick World
Considering where they started and where they have put the franchise now, it’s impossible to imagine the world they have created for it. You don’t see normal people in the movie. Almost all of them are contract killers or those who give them a contract to kill John Wick, it is just another world. The casting of actors is excellent, for every character there is an ample amount of screen space and each character gives the right amount of boost to the storyline. Even guns are not enough to kill fighters, what an upgrade to the John Wick world. The neutral territory of underworld criminals, Continentals, and the exclusive network of hotels increased and got better. The message is there is always someone bigger than you.
The only change I did not see in John Wick was his love for the dogs. It’s the same.
At one point, I expected John Wick would say “I am the one” in The Matrix’s style
John Wick will become just another movie if you do not select the right screen and sound. I heard some moviegoers scream when Keanu entered the screen for the first time. At one point, I expected John Wick would say “I am the one” in The Matrix’s style. Apparently, some people find it boring when a South Indian hero (not a superhero) fights multiple villains simultaneously and wins them all. They may have the same feedback on John Wick as well. He is not the superhero in the movie and there is no theory to back him up except he is a hitman, but he kills a lot.

“If you are a lover you gotta be a fighter”. By the way, the cam guy you mentioned, I am among them ( 🤫 ) but , as per your suggestion I will not be watching this one in CAMRIP.
In the end, it comes as your preferred screen. Mine is bigger the better. Let’s discuss “If you are a lover you gotta be a fighter” someday. I am sure this must be a fight with your spouse/partner 🤣.
Currently on “Crush” phase 🤭
It was an amazing experience . There was a thrill in every second of it.
John Wick be like Where the other movie ends, that’s where my interval is. Yet we wanted more. I must say it’s because of the immersive sound and the brighter screen we chose.
Now I want to enjoy JW in Bigger Screen.
Time is running out 😁
